University of the Rockies Names Dr. Peggy Sundstrom Hero of the Year
DENVER, Feb. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — University of the Rockies has named Peggy Sundstrom, PhD, its 2017 Hero of the Year. Dr. Sundstrom, a lead faculty member at University of the Rockies, logged 680 community volunteer hours in 2017.
Dr. Sundstrom dedicated many hours to train service dogs with Guide Dogs for the Blind. A resident of Aurora, Colorado, Dr. Sundstrom also volunteered with Ducks Unlimited, Inc. to help conserve wetland habitats.

A donation to Guide Dogs for the Blind will be made in Dr. Sundstrom’s name to support ongoing work. Overall in 2017, University of the Rockies employees logged 1,130 community volunteer hours.
